about me

I'm Livi, a D&B obsessive, based in London, Nottingham and Berlin.

To answer the questions of my infamous game, my favourite DJ changes on a weekly basis, but my preferred record labels are Shogun, Metalheadz and Playaz. And one of the most interesting facts about myself is that I was blessed by Mother Teresa when I was young.

In 2009 I was elected Vice President of Nottingham University's Drum and Bass Society with over 200 members, and promoted to President in 2010.  I have also been Social Secretary of Rave Society for the last two years with over 300 members, and have used my positions to bring bass-filled joy to members at the university.  Some of the best experiences have included taking members down to Fabric on three successful trips.

Between 2009 and 2010 I was part of the University of Nottingham's Student Radio [www.urn1350.net], and presented a weekly Drum and Bass show that had a prime 7-9pm slot every Tuesday.  During this time I did several thousand hours of research into new tracks, DJs, labels and built up a library of d&b knowledge.  In addition, I interviewed quite a few DJs including High Contrast, Fabio, Kasra and London Elektricity to name a few.  Now in my last year at university doing a degree I've not enjoyed for the last three years, I had to give up the show to concentrate getting a decent grade before leaving to pursue a career in this industry that I have such a passion for.  To this point, I have had work published by the Guardian Newspaper, Knowledge Magazine, ATM magazine and the Hospitality Blog, which you can check out in my portfolio tab.  So you know what they say - as one door closes, another opens, and this is my next door.
